5 of our favourite food spots in Barcelona
Barcelona is definitely known for its stunning architecture and vibrant culture; but it's also a gastronomic paradise. If you're planning a hen party in this beautiful city, you're in for a treat! Barcelona offers an array of exquisite dining experiences that will leave you and your party feeling fulfilled. In this guide, we'll explore our top five restaurants in Barcelona, perfect for a luxurious and memorable hen party.
Ladies, don’t come to Barcelona and eat on the Ramblas, unless of course you’re going to La Boqueria, in which case we’ll forgive you. We’ve seen many hen parties make the rookie error of ending up in a classic tourist trap drinking pints of Sangria (which let’s face it is more like Don Simon), and eating some questionable tapas. We are here to make sure you do not do that!
Located in the stunning neighbourhood of El Born, Casa Delfin with its charming decor indoor and out. The terrace faces Mercat del Born, a glorious spot to graze on tapas and soak up the sunshine. Bonus point - it won’t cost you a fortune.
Just a short walk round the corner we have Bodega La Tinaja, a more traditional restaurant with lots of tasty tapas. We love the bravas and the salads, but in all honesty whatever you have you’ll leave your tastebuds feeling extremely satisfied!
Something swankier? Check out Belbo dos Besos, this place offers heavenly Italian dishes - enjoy them whilst getting entertained by one of their fantastic live shows. ‘Besos’ means ‘kisses’, a perfect restaurant to ‘Kiss the Miss Goodbye.’ You’ll definitely be in for a ball, it closes around 1am.
Another fave is Tierra Brava, excellent cocktails and tapas to die for. Don’t be fooled by its restaurant-like appearance, after dinner it transforms into a dance floor - lights dimmed, tables retired, and out come the DJs. A great spot for your first night in Barcelona. You don’t even have to move venues!
El Xampanyet has a spectacular atmosphere, an extremely local vibe. We recommend heading there before doors open at midday - no bookings at this place. The staff are very friendly, and the dishes are mouth-wateringly good. Let’s not forget the homemade cava, which is so palatable it’s hard not to gulp it down!
